Should I book early?
If you’d like to secure a spot to tie the knot on the water, then you’re only improving your chances and peace of mind by booking.
What’s the dress code?
That part’s up to you. Please keep in mind that attire which can stand up to wind, weather and water would be best.
What’s the experience like?
Extraordinary. You get live entertainment; views of Sydney Harbour’s icons and all the while enjoy food and drinks of your choosing!
Is a cruise expensive / worth it?
We’ll let the Google reviews speak for themselves. What we will say is that the packages are all-inclusive, which gives you peace of mind as you’ll have event experts that you can turn to, exceptional food and drink service and stunning views of Sydney. These all combine to create a party you’ll never forget!
Can we wear shoes onboard?
Yes shoes are allowed onboard. We do have a ”no-stilleto” policy so please ensure any heels worn by guests have a heel at least the size of a ten cent piece. We recommend wedges or flat shoes. It's best if you can let your guests know ahead of time to save any embarrassment on the day.
Where will we be cruising? Does the boat stop at an anchorage or keep moving throughout the cruise?
Usually we will do a circuit of the Harbour including a lap under the bridge as we cruise past the Opera House and a quick tour around Darling Harbour. If you have a 4 hour charter we may head to Rose Bay for a look along the picturesque coast. We will usually anchor at one spot during the charter, especially while guests are dining. The weather and sea conditions on the day are factored in to the equation obit the Captain, as are of course any preferences you have for your cruise.
How do we play music onboard?
Coast has Bose speakers throughout the upper and lower deck and foredeck. You can either listen to our Spotify or use your own playlist/Spotify through bluetooth. We have brand new ,upgraded BluOS controller, amps and speakers. This major AV update will give you crystal clear sound from any device, any music streaming platform. If dancing is required we recommend a DJ. All our Dj’s are professional and experienced with the vessel. We can not take responsibility for other DJ’s and equipment. Boarding for DJ’s is best at our home berth in Rozelle.
What happens if the guests are running late?
Once a wharf is booked, we generally have 10 minutes to board all guests. If someone misses the boarding window, their best option is to get a water taxi to the boat (we can incur a fine if we overstay our allocated slot). We strongly recommend that you advise your guests to arrive 15-30 minutes prior to the boarding time.
Are we able to go swimming?
Yes we allow swimming in groups of 10 at a time within the first hour of cruise. Please advise us prior to the charter, as depending on guest numbers we may need to organise additional staff for safety. Guests need to bring their own towels if they wish to swim and can not be intoxicated.
If the weather isn't great, can we cancel or reschedule?
One of the great things about Coast is that she’s the perfect all-weather option. With the upper and lower deck entertaining spaces covered, she can go out rain, hale or shine. The only reason a charter would be cancelled due to weather would be if the Captain deemed conditions unsafe on the day.
Is it possible to BYO or self-cater?
We are a licensed premise so we generally don’t accept BYO charters. Likewise, we offer a full catering service. Under special circumstances, it may be considered however a service fee will apply.
Is smoking allowed onboard?
Yes, we have a designated smoking/vaping area on the foredeck. Smoking and Vaping is strictly prohibited anywhere else onboard Coast.
Can we decorate the boat?
Yes you can decorate the boat prior to the cruise if possible, special arrangements need to be pre-organised with timings. Decorating Coast will be done at our home berth. We do not allow Confetti or sticky tape.
How is the space set up?
Just how you like it. We can book a DJ for you, set up the space how you want (how about a dance floor?), use our top-quality systems to display photo and video or whatever else you might need.
